The Middle Colonies
The Middle Colonies:
The Middle Colonies had fertile soil which was ideal for farming, which is why they consisted of large farms. Farmers in the Middle Colonies grew wheat, rye, and barley as their cash crops, which helped them make a huge profit. They exported so much grain that they were eventually known as the "breadbasket" colonies. Including farming and exporting grains, the Middle Colonies did have a huge focus on making products with iron ore. They would make tools ... etc. and manufacture them to make a profit.
