Analysis of why colony was founded and how this affected who moved to the colony:
The South Carolinas were mostly settled by rich English in the Barbados or other immigrants. The tidewater plantations in the coast line were rich centered around the big white house and consisted of 20-100 slaves. On the other hand, the back country consisted of more democratic classes, hardly any slaves and more hard working people. The Carolinas and other southern countries were marked by distinct social class lines so people were put into groups in a bad way.
Analysis of government, geography, economy, and religion.
The basic factors of The Carolina's stayed the exact same, as South Carolina was just a space issue, and the colonies stayed conjoined. Government minded, South Carolina was a Royal Colony, still under the influence of England. The economy was hugely based on plantations and slaves ; The Carolina's were one of the first colonies to get involved in slave trade. Religion was a free choice in South Carolina, though most settlers were Protestant based on their religion from England. Overall, the Carolina's were stable as a colony, and very well rounded.
