- Founded By: Pennsylvania was founded by William Penn. King Charles II had a debt to pay back to Admiral Sir William Penn, so in order to repay that, the King gave land to his son which includes present day Pennsylvania.
- Motivation: A safe heaven for Quakers.
- Government: Framework of Pennsylvania:The Frame of Government for Pennsylvania was the colony's first constitution and their way of maintain order in the colony in the beginning. William Penn wrote it before coming to the Americas to settle his colony in 1682.
The Framework showed Penn's viewpoints on political and religious. He wanted that under his framework, no ruler gains too much control, overpowering everyone else, therefore, he had a balance in power. - Religious Aspirations: Quakers - Society of friends with the belief that everyone is equal. The Quakers suffered in England, mainly because of their beliefs about religion, equality...etc. Most males had spent at least some time in jail. Open to all religions.They believed that everyone is equal... EVERYONE. Even women were allowed to preach and speak in public and voice their opinion. This is also one of the reasons no one liked the Quakers because women were not really considered equal back then. William Penn came to establish his colony, mainly because after he got land from King Charles II, he had hope that he could protect the Quakers from persecution in England and freely establish a colony with his beliefs
- Geography: The Middle Colonies had a mild climate with with warm summers and mild winters that were suited towards farming agriculture
- Industry & Economy: Exported agricultural products and natural resources but were also able to manufacture iron ore products such as plows, tools, kettles, locks, nails, and large blocks of iron which they exported to England.

- Target Residents: The main targets were Quakers, but Pennsylvania was open to everyone because the Quakers wanted peace and nothing more. They accepted all religions and everyone to come and live as Anti-Pacificts, safe from persecution. Their agricultural industry and main export of grains in the breadbasket colonies attracted farmers as they knew they could make a huge profit, with having the right climate and having grains be the largest export.

Many people settled in Pennsylvania because of their abundance of resources and good economy mixed in with the religious tolerance. People grew under the good foundations of the colony and were affected in positive ways.

Pennsylvania had an almost fully representative government tied in with the First Frame of Government which allowed all the settlers a lot of freedom and movement. The economy of the colony was successful because of the agriculture and the manufacturing of everyday products. Pennsylvania was also located in a resource abundant area with several forests and big lands. The place was extremely religiously tolerant which brought in different people who added their skills into the good economy. Pennsylvania was a successful colony with all the good facets.
